De vraag die gesteld moet worden: waarom is zo'n geautomatiseerd systeem nodig? Tenzij dit opvragen van transactie geschiedenis al op grote schaal gebeurd, en de verwachting is dat het nog veel vaker zal gebeuren.

Ook: eens te meer duidelijk waarom die #WarOnCash "nodig" was.

@xahlee@mstdn. If you're not paying for it, you're not the customer. You're the product. Social media platforms are listening very closely to what their customers want, that is, what the advertisers want. A brand-safe environment, and carefully curated eyeballs.

@Klaatu One of the main problems is that (especially outside of 1st tier cities), all land is *leased*. Cheap properties often have a short lease (e.g. 30 year), so they are built to last for only a few decades.

After the lease expires, the land reverts back to the state. If you're unlucky, they'll flatten the area and build something new. If you're lucky, you can extend the lease for a small fortune (which almost nobody will do).

@Klaatu I've been following Winston probably for close to a decade. But regarding real estate, he's a moron.

Sure, you can find plenty of crappy properties. But there are also plenty of reputable real estate developers that build quality properties. Everything for a price. You get what you pay for.

I've bought and sold half a dozen properties in and around Beijing, and coming from a family of builders, they were all on par with Western Europe.
