Try to start some events at #openaccess week this year in october. Are you doing something like that or do have attended something similiar? #openscience

When you listen to the #podcast #hiddenbrain and someone says "I couldn't publish our findings, because someone published a study to something similar and 'took the scoop'". I don't understand... It's #science. Scoops and competition shouldn't be relevant. This is even more a reason to do #openscience.

If you want to work version controlled on your #LaTex or #R project without big players like #GitHub involved, then take a look at the it services at your #university. Mine has a #GitLab instance for members.

@JayVii_de Just try to get into it. I started with "Learning Python The Hard Way" as it was more or less 'free'. But what you need is a project you want to work on. With #python you can start by writing a small #shellscript (if you are on #linux), that eases your daily digital work.

@JayVii_de #Stata is, what most professors know. But the faculty of #SocialSciences are providing stata and #R #workshops equally. Students should call for using #R in research seminars.
