I'm subject to a growing number of websites that don't work cleanly with #Firefox content blocking because they assume you can see the Google #reCAPTCHA and fail (usually with no clear error message) if the captcha isn't submitted.

  Multicultural experience refers to those experiences gained through individuals’ contact with other cultures. This study focused on exploring whether knowledge of different cultures can improve creative performance-and also how multicultural experiences influenced this performance through changes in individual’s physiological mechanisms. Experiment 1 explored the influence of different cultural primings on creative story-writing tasks. 89 Chinese college students were randomly assigned to 4 conditions: sole American culture, dual cultures, sole Chinese culture or control condition, and made to watch 45-minute slides with cultural elements—including pictures, music and videos,—and then they were asked to complete the creative story-writing task. The results showed that American cultrue priming group’s score was significantly higher than the control condition with regards to the uniqueness and novelty of the creative story-writing task. Experiment 2 was aimed at exploring the relationship between physiological arousal levels induced by different cultural and creative performance. We divided the whole experiment into five stages,—including the baseline, picture, listening to music, watching video and completing creative tasks. Through Biofeedback measurement, we recorded the physiological indexes of participants in different groups in every stage, including skin conductance, thermal, electroencephalographic and heart rate.   The Women Professors Program, which was initiated in Germany in 2008, aims to increase the proportion of women professors and to promote structural change in favour of gender equality at higher education institutions (HEIs). It is one of the central gender equality policies in higher education in Germany. The present study evaluates the impact of the program by estimating its causal effects on the proportion of women professors. By adopting a quasi-experimental approach and using a unique dataset—a long term census of German HEIs—the study proves that the proportion of women professors increased more than would have been expected in the absence of the program. Although the evaluation includes preliminary estimates of mechanisms driving the described impacts, the integration of context factors and mechanisms into the assessment of the impact of gender equality policies remains a desideratum. The study shows that the program is working, and it contributes to redressing the lack of impact studies on gender equality in science and research.
