    @testing77777 warum man eine bestimmte Instanz wegen ihres "Themas" vllt vorziehen will ist die Tatsache, dass es noch einen "local" Stream gibt, der nur Posts von der eigenen Instanz (und nicht von fremden) enthĂ€lt. Der ist dann naturgemĂ€ĂŸ konzentrierter, was das Thema angeht. Hier auf metalhead.club zum Beispiel das Thema "Metal". Ich kann von hier aus aber trotzdem auch Zitronenkuchenposts von der Zitronenkucheninstanz lesen - ĂŒber den public Stream.

    Nein. Es gibt zwar Instanzen mit bestimmten Themen - du musst dich aber nicht auf allen registrieren. IdR reicht eine völlig aus, denn Mastodon Instanzen "reden" miteinander. Was du auf der einen Lesen kannst, kannst du auf der anderen auch lesen.

    Firefox 67 will be released today! It allows websites to implement a dark mode with a CSS media query.

    I've made a little add-on that let's you toggle/overwrite that setting in your browser, instead of just relying on the system setting.

    Offenbar wurde Docker Hub "gehacked". Habe auch eine entsprechende E-Mail bekommen: https://haste.tchncs.de/raw/uqaticecaq

    War ja irgendwie abzusehen. Das halbe Internet verlÀsst sich blind auf den Hub, und zieht vllt sogar noch automatisch Updates.

    Den Hub unter seine Kontrolle zu bringen und dann evtl manipulierte Images in Umlauf zu bekommen, ist *der* Mega-Jackpot!

    @neilalexander unfortunalety defining a label did not help. But I changed the network configuration from pre-defined (by the hoster Hetzner) to my own static config. Since then it does work :-) Maybe that was just some strange interference with Hetzners cloud server config tools.

    @favstarmafia Hmmm also du vermutest, dass Leuten evtl nicht bewusst sein könnte, dass sie nochmal "folgen" drĂŒcken mĂŒssen? Das könnte in der Tat besser gestaltet werden. Beispielsweise durch eine explizite Benachrichtigung: "User xy ist umgezogen. Möchtest du ihm weiterhin folgen?". Eine solche Benachrichtigung kann man triggern, wenn ein Benutzer sein Profil auf "umgezogen" setzt.

    @favstarmafia Naja, der Rest waren inaktive Follower. Ich habe jede Menge davon. Die haben sich vor einem Jahr mal einen Account gemacht und dann Mastodon liegen gelassen. GefĂŒhlt 2/3 haben ziemlich schnell kein Interesse mehr.

    Insofern war das bei dir sicherlich mehr "Entschlackung" als tatsÀchlicher Verlust.
