What we have in Northern Ireland is not "peace". It's a frozen conflict, and it's not sustainable. Peace is not simply the absence of war. So long as the root problems are not addressed and reconciliation is never really attempted, then conflict will return, and it looks like Brexit and the return of an Irish border are going to be a catalyst for that.
so this person on tumblr put up selfies with her bf and said they were gay/queer because she identifies as non-binary even though "i look and act traditionally female and only date men" and i genuinely don't know how to feel about this
what are your opinions on this? is it judgemental to question this? im not sure how to feel
low paid, precarious work is women's work and you can't examine Capitalism from a Marxist perspective without considering the role of gender, ans likewise you can't seriously advocate for the liberation of people from gender roles without seriously considering the material conditions within which we find gender
nobody wants to talk about how and why most factory workers in the world are women, and how the fastest growing job sectors in the US are dominated by women and are precarious work
nobody wants to talk about the devaluing of female labour in order to keep wages down, especially domestic labour
a problem with mainstream feminism is that it views woman as an abstraction that exists solely in a context of gender relations, rather than as a mechanism through which current power structures manifest
mainstream feminism is more concerned with putting women in positions of power over other women, rather than deconstructing those positions of power in the first place
"Particularly pertinent to first-person shooters, strategy games, and casual timed or puzzle games, difficulty settings can mean the difference between an enjoyable experience and not being able to play the game at all. "
@yatchi and it's a geniusly evil system too. They basically imported workers through the Aliyah concept who are terrified to not support those in power and the way of things through propaganda; and then created through apartheid an even lower class of invisible worker than that (Palestinian Israeli residents) who can be doubly exploited thanks to the fear keeping the other workers in check.
It's horrible and inhumane and generates a lotta $$$$
