@ntnsndr But it does seem like this is a moment in which another startup could springboard from Etsy's declining goodwill and poach its sellers/makers. There are a lot of moving parts but a co-op etsy would not need to have the huge growth curve that VCs demand to survive. If it can build network value steadily then it could outlive Etsy. Just thinking out loud here.

Does this mark a #platform.coop opportunity? Is there a way to put together a techworker/maker platform in 2018 to build a viable alternative to capital-ruined Etsy?
