@antifuchs yeah i liked orphan black (the first few seasons at least?) but i'd say it is like 100% about trauma

i guess what i'm saying is why won't someone mary sue me into some cool comic book fights dammit

could really use some media that playfully mythologizes and glorifies the lives of single women in their late-thirties the way eg scott pilgrim does for men in their early twenties, that ISN'T focused on sex (eg _Sex and the City_) or trauma (eg _Russian Doll_)

@xurizaemon i don't mind receiving the email. there are a lot of emails sent to the entire organization that don't concern me. it was the use of the possessive pronoun "our."

@brainwane I don't know if "tasteless" is the word I'd use necessarily. I'm still working through how I feel about it! at work in almost every other context I don't feel excluded for not being a parent (though many of my peers are parents), so it was jarring in this instance to see such a bald assertion of a parents-only "in-group"
