With the end of China's One Child policy, I wonder if there has been a positive impact on how female progeny are valued in China. While some families chose to take steps to ensure a male child, some families would have accepted a female child, even though they preferred a male. These families would now be in a position to sway public discourse.

I heard today that Morehouse College, an historically African American, all male (how is this still possible?), liberal arts college will admit transgender men. !lgbt

I just found a plastic bead about the size of a pepper corn in my Palak Aloo. I'm guessing it was from bulk spices rather than something the restaurant did. I have never been a fan of how hole spices are used in some Indian dishes. My mostly irrational fear has been justified, just this once. At least plastic is !vegan.

Watching Hinterland. It is kind of slow, but not boring. It is slow and deliberate like art school films. They do a wonderful job exploring the Welsh countryside.

I was going to compare the feeling I get to that of DS9. I really didn't like the spirituality of the Bajoran arc. When DS9 was science based, it was good. When DS9 was spiritual based, it was bad. I gave up at S4 E14. I rate Voyage much higher than DS9. I'm not ready to give up on Enterprise.
