Random idea for a Mastodon tool you never realised you needed:

You've clicked on a user and you want to check out their timeline and it's 90% boosts and 10% of their own toots. So you click the magic *hide boosts* button under their profile menu and bam, now you can see what they actually have to say when they aren't supporting everyone else.

Quick trip into town completed, I had a cheque back from the DVLA which needed banking.

Of course if you wish to pay /them/ you can pay instantly over the internet..when they need to repay you, they pay via the 1600's technology...

Inherited fixer up laptop is a bit noisy.

>Takes out all base screws.
>Watches tear down video.
>Realises it's more work than prepared to invest in making it quieter.
>Puts all the screws back in.

I just realised peer tube is an offshoot of mastodon (or at very least, compatible). I can add peer tube accounts to mastodon and they appear in my time line..that's pretty cool

In other news I managed to get lineageOS installed on my moto g5. I got stuck installing the ROM until I read I needed a 64bit TWRP recovery rather than 32, (and none of the version numbering reflects architecture).

All good now. Various APKs installed and aside from omitting GAPPS this time around, everything is as it was.
