    What a great week at Queen's University. The department was kind enough to let me use a faculty office whose occupant was away. That person was clearly a condensed matter/solid state expert. I was surrounded by the subject in books and charts. I kept having flashbacks to my C in solid state physics in college.     The walks to and from my department at Queen’s have been lovely. Mornings are my favorite. I have been thrilled at the chance to sit in on classes and learn about the teaching styles and methods in use in physics classes.
