@rtsn Found an AES ruby gem. But it still requires programming to work with it.

@rtsn SHA512 directly cannot be inverted. However the hash can be used as a seed to generate a number stream (ciphertext) that one subtracts from the original message (the plaintext number stream) to get the key. The you subtract key from the ciphertext.

@rtsn Then again, I mean I found an indirect way to invert a SHA512. So you never know...

Hey artists with other jobs to make rent... sometimes we compare ourselves to and our work to folks who do it full time or who can put in more hours... and sometimes we can be unkind to ourselves about it. Maybe it’s the extra time it takes us, the slower speed at which we improve, or the finished result. Maybe it’s the breaks we need or lack of energy.

Your #art matters. Your #painting or #fiberarts or #embroidery or #crossstitch or # quilting or #sketch? You make the world beautiful. Thanks.

@rtsn Keep in mind when a letter has more than a few things it could decrypt to, the computer is basically forced to guess from multiple possibilities.

Very, very bad news. The Supreme Court just gutted basic human rights for anyone who's not a US citizen by declaring that immigrants (including those with permanent residence) can be held indefinitely. https://www.npr.org/2018/02/27/589096901/supreme-court-ruling-means-immigrants-can-continue-to-be-detained-indefinitely

Supreme Court Ruling Means Immigrants Could Continue To Be Detained Indefinitely
      from NPR.org
The court ruled that immigrants, even those who are permanent legal residents and asylum seekers, have no right to periodic bond hearings, meaning they could be held indefinitely in some cases.
