The best thing about it is it can make the numbers look completely random, and non-repeating.

One of my favorites of the classic pen and paper ciphers is the Poly Polybius Four Square hybrid, then it just turns your cipher text into random numbers:

    1325 3131 5434 2323 5253 4211 5513 3454 5543

@rtsn Which reminds me, in a lot of my work, there is this cultural style of funerals called Funeral Tap Dancing.

@rtsn The only song I liked was When I'm Gone, and that's more the tap dance version, and that's more the exception rather than the type of song I'm generally interested in: dark techno, and cyberpunk. I almost like When I'm Gone ironically, as I can't stand country music.

Now if there was tap dance as percussion in a dark techno song, and they found a way amplify the tap shoes, I'd be all for that.

@rtsn But then you have certain words like Cafe which has no morphological similarity to German, but is the same in French.

A lot of times it seems like the ancients are toying with us, with modern language an encipherment of older languages.

So idea! Want to securely encrypt something? Just play telephone with a message over decades.

@rtsn Speaking of ciphers, it's interesting to me while English is a Germanic language, at time certain words have more in common with the French. Or rather, French enciphering German words with one time pads lost to history.

You have words like White, which while it means the same thing, is completely different from Blanc. But is morphologically similar to Weiss.

@rtsn The biggest issue as the way I encrypt stuff symmetrically these days, is less encryption, and more splitting information into packets, and hiding each packet in a different hidden directory.

It has more in common with steganography.

@rtsn Yea I'm only using old broken ones, and trying to mediate common problems, but current systems with session keys is the way to go.

I find it more interesting to learn why they go broken.

A blended autokey framework is still as good as a traditional autokey if done without a session key.

(Blended Autokey basically goes a step further than autokey, but first creating two permutation blocks, then a third block is made using every odd line from each permutation block.)
