@liw Oh, most of mine do. I find it pretty fun to throw ideas around, bounce it by people, let them tear it apart, see it fall apart, and then rebuild something new, slightly better. Repeat until it works.

On to the margin of new year's eve: there's this silly tradition of firing rockets, fireworks and all kinds of stuff around. Can we *please* stop doing that? Not only is it noisy, and scary as fuck for toddlers, dogs, and to some extent, even adults; but when I take down the trash at 4am, long hours after the neighbourhood stopped being idiots, I could literally cut the smoke. It wasn't fog. It was thick and heavy smoke, sitting on top of the whole area.

For about 45 minutes yesterday I thought I had deleted 8 months worth of project data with a mistyped database query. Was able to recover everything (by sheer luck, basically) but take it from me: do backups! Do them!
