I really don't want to get on Birbsite (the only support option?) but does anyone know what's up with #GoblinRefuge because it seems when I upload even simple image files, it takes hours and hours to finish processing?

Or does someone know an open #MediaGoblin instance that allows video and images that doesn't suffer such a problem?

Here's `tty-clock` running in #Wayland terminal on an e-paper display powered by a #Pi Zero and it's wearable, too! More X-less magic from #Ubuntu #Mir wizard William Wold as found at #LFNW https://soc.ialis.me/media/sVMONm0MXklkTxVsriw

went to this super awesome Bystander/Upstander training put on by one of the women in our local SURJ chapter. the information was really practical and helped assuage the fears people have in getting involved. also the role playing was so useful.

anyways, i'm thinking this is something that really needs to be brought to schools, but as far as i know, there's not much being done elsewhere even generally. i hope i'm wrong. do you folks know of any similar programs? links?

    please boost, thx.

Motel 6 leaves the light on for you… and gives all your information to the cops, especially the immigration ones.

SSL-using sysadmins note that Chrome will remove trust in Symantec-issued certificates issued before 1 June 2016, including Thwate, VeriSign, Equifax, GeoTrust, RapidSSL. Mozilla just updated their Root Store Policy, but it's not clear that they're doing the same, even though it was their mailing list that identified the problem. They're using a DigiCert certificate (like $work) so at least THEY don't have to worry. Ironically, the Google Security Blog is using a Symantec certificate, albeit a pretty fresh one.

P.S. Let's Encrypt is all good.
