@xahlee Appeal to Age is a logical fallacy, even when you're attempting to boost your own position simply by 'being older.'

There's a very good chance I'm older than you are, but that doesn't really matter.

Try again when you have an actual argument.

@xahlee It's hard to take an article seriously that conflates serving a site with TLS as being the same as locking it away.

WIkipedia is hosted over HTTPS, there doesn't seem to be much of a problem searching and archiving that.

And certs for most of those small sites that cost of EV certs would be a burden are free.

@xahlee I take it you don't use TLS now at all for anything because you can't know if the vendors now back door their implementations.

HTTPS needs to be everywhere so that encrypted traffic is not special. Right now, it sticks out like a sore thumb just screaming 'LOOK I'M TRYING TO HIDE SOMETHING I CARE ABOUT.'

I just did some finger painting for the first time since probably kindergarten.

That was over 30 years ago.

I now feel silly and old.

@angristan and seeing that you have a 2017 MBP, reminds me, remap ESC to CapsLock. Your use of vi will thank you. And no one needs capslock anyway.

@angristan Just know that you're better than everyone else.

Also iTerm2 is a better terminal.

And spectacle can be nice for window management.

And safari is a better browser to use when you're on battery

    Microsoft Office for Mac sucks

    so does webex

a macbook pro makes a great desktop (external monitors) mouse and keyboard, but unfortunatly is sometimes limited by how many external monitors it can run. Really? Only two monitors on my 2015? Really?

VMWare fusion works better than virtualbox

Company is making everyone do this stupid agile 'safe for teams' bullshit course. Company wants everyone to get 'safe for teams' stupid certification. I passed the stupid online exam. Now I have the stupid cert. Now I feel stupid.

Oh, and company hired instructor encouraged everyone to cheat and do the exam open book. Ya, that's a great way to make your stupid certification worthwhile.

    IT professionals are annoying.

Oh you know some Javascript, well yes, I agree with you, you obviously know everything about anything. Please regale me with your extensive knowledge of a subject you have neither studied nor learned anything about ever.
