So the story I want to get back to writing is titled _The Dead Zone_. It is a fun little piece of alt-history. The year is 1974 (give or take a year or two) and WW2 is still going on, more or less. While there were some losers in the War, most notably the UK which is now a German puppet state named Anglemark and headed by King Edward VIII who abdicated for Wallis Simpson in real life, no one won or lost the war. ... 1/2

Ok call off the search hounds. I found at least part of the missing story.

ARRRGGGHHH!!!! I can't find my story about the Nazis bombing the east coast of America!!! It must have gotten lost in all the confusion of my life in the last six months or so!!! #amwriting and in agony!

@theru @NYbill Luckily (if a thing like this can be lucky) it is a dry heat but that desert sun is brutal when you are moving dirt around.

@theru @NYbill I still have about 150lbs to move around here but summer has hit with a vengence. We have had a couple of weeks of temperatures over 100 degreesF and some of those days have been upwards of 110 degreesF. (That is about 40C - 41C)

Going to try to do a little more writing today. I had some ideas last night as I lay in bed.

I actually had a clear enough mind to write today. Well, writing is not exactly what I'd call it. I opened the text editor and started typing until one of the ideas that I ruminated on began to take some form. I didn't finish the story but it is a neat idea.

It is an apocalyptic story but instead of a single cataclysmic event Western Civilization gradually became buried in its own trash. Well that is what it is shaping up to be. I am still just setting the stage and have only one character.

Have actually been doing some writing tonight. Nothing grand just flexing my muscle after a long hiatus.

Had to chase a squirrel out of the gardens just now. I guess the quest to feed ourselves has turned me into a squirrel wrangler.

Ok so I have been messing around with #emacs again today. I can read epubs now. I have gnu-social-mode up and running, as well as mastodon.el, elfeed... I even signed into freenode for the first time in forever. I can't decide if I want ot mess with #xmpp again or not. My last account on there became a spam magnet. My intention for emacs is to learn and use #orgmode but I never seem to get around to playing with it. Easily distracted I guess...

Futzing around with #emacs again. I am readng epubs in it now. Hey it is progress.

Ok I rattled the cage over on gnusocial why not rattle it here too? Good aftenoon folks! How is everyone?
