    At the hospital for a regular 3 month sexual health check, and pick up a prescription of #PrEP 
    This is very useful for me, keeps me healthy and also good for my peace of mind. I like to know my health status.

    @jezra well... not *required* .. but we are often in the same space together.  Sometimes we play together at a open jazz session. 
    we have friends in common.  
    If I avoid them, it means I will be excluding myself from spaces and human company I enjoy. 

    I don't think they are necessarily evil.  They were drunk and said a stupid thing. However they are often drunk and say stupid things - this one was too much for me to ignore at the time.

    TL;DR My friend is a drunken idiot who used an annoying homophobic slur.



    I was out with a friend a couple of weeks ago, and later in the evening they made a comment about something, and used an annoying homophobic slur. We had been been at a beer festival, and they were drunk and they were being a bit of a tedious boor actually.

    I got angry with them. I said at the time something along the lines of

    "What did you just say!!!!"
    "Apologise for that"

    They refused to apologise (.. which is on par for their tedious boorishness).
    At that point I said I didn't want to spend any more time with them and left.

    Well I saw them again last night, but ignored them.

    I am not sure how to deal with them now. I would like to still be friends, but feel they should really take responsibility for their bad language, and at the least apologies and admit fault.

    Should I say, "you need to do this... " or should I just keep ignoring them, or something different ?

    In the last instance, it turned out that they were trying to submit email on port 25, and their ISP was blocking outgoing port 25.

    I really don't like the RTFM attitude amongst some tech people.

    I am pretty bad at customer service. But when faced with client side issues, my colleague has a terrible abrupt tendency to say..

    "I can't help. You should contact Apple/Microsoft"

    I am amazed we have any customers sometimes.
