@KitRedgrave I used overheads teaching at community college less than a decade ago.
Both the transparency and the screen overlay that let me run the computer through the overhead projector

here's some real crap:
I had an app I liked/used so much I had paid for it. There was no difference I remember between the paid and free versions, there were no ads in either. The paid app was simply a way to show you supported the work.
The programmer redesigns the app, and previous paid versions are no longer valid, all are now free versions and you get to pay again to use the ad-free version.
Asshole.
I enjoy telling time by seeing the predominant language on the local and federated timelines
@PypeBros the local timeline is the realtime list of toots from users on mastodon.social (or if you are on another mastodon instance, then it would be the toots from users on that instance).
The federated timeline is the firehose of realtime toots from all federated instances - mastodon.social, a.weird.earth, mastodon.art, cybre.space, and so forth.
I had a big ol' internal dialogue last night because of my resume and how I should go about looking for a new line of work. And how that's pretty much impossible because resumes are scanned into corporate databases and etc etc etc.
Today I mulled it over and posted that bad boy on LinkedIn and we'll see how that all plays out.
@RussSharek 3D printed electric toilet seat bidet nozzles!
Want the Eiffel Tower to spit water atcha? Maybe you'd rather have Tom Brady? Works with any heated toilet seat with bidet function!
@RussSharek i thought you meant on demand as in a machine in the stall that gives you a dyesub few sheets for a buck
when i was a kid i had the sims, and this being europe it had french and german on the packaging
underneath "the sims" it said "les sims" and "die sims", incidentally these are the two most popular things to do on the sims

@witchfynder_finder My personal opinion is it happened towards the end of Randy Johnson's career (baseball pitcher 6 foot 10 inches tall; his nickname was The Big Unit) in 2009. Peopl efelt more comfortable snickering at his name AND nickname at that time. Even though he played pro ball for 22 years.
@impiaaa I 100% never noticed it before and I use the CD and Diskette templates
when did GIMP add "toilet paper" as a default template size?
fed up

the list of misidentified chemical element names on wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_misidentified_chemical_elements is extremely evocative and all of them seem like they could be plausible fictional unobtaniums; they also look like they could have been generated with a recurrent neural network ("alkalinium", "berzelium", "decipium", "ptene", "wasium")
