New WebAPK-based PWAs (in Samsung Internet and Chrome) are a total game changer for seamless web app usability. For example: the way alerts are displayed, the ability to open URLs 'in the app', the way it shows up in the OS. I've been so impressed.

Since some people are talking about the “death of the URL” … again … it felt like the right time to re-post something I wrote 2 years ag on the topic https://medium.com/@torgo/in-defense-of-the-url-adbec59c7cf4 including a link to research that seems to indicate people DO know what URLs are.

Open source federated #activitypub (same federated protocol that @MastodonProject@twitter.com uses) based photo sharing site in the works at https://pixelfed.org/. This looks very promising!
