I'm forever stuck between worlds. If there's a community, society, group, etc that has a split/dichotomy/subgrouping, I'll end up in the middle, able to traverse & understand both sides but never belonging to either.

@Neko Probably it was the high level of cost phased it out, and then with graphics becoming closer to "real life", it was just easier to get in motion capture tech and actors, so the games were visually consistent.

There are some games that use live action though, mostly indies, like Her Story, Contradiction and the Tex Murphy series.
