@tpheine The work lappy just NEEDS this crap. PLC, Freq Drive software, etc... Its all written for Windows.

When I install a PLC I try and use Siemens. (Made over your way I think.) They support Linux! :D

Moving my work laptop from my old x201 to a Fleabay x250.

Swap the drive, Linux boots no issues.

Reboot to Windows, it complains and wants to reverify its key due to the hardware change.

Input the key and... Windows doesn't know it has WIFI or LAN hardware to contact to its own servers. *head desk*
