I give a lot of creators $1/month on #Patreon, who just changed their fee schedule to include a flat, per-pledge charge passed on to the patron. The math:
Old model: I give $1, creator gets, at worst, 80c, or 80%.
New model: I give $1.379, creator gets 95c, or 69%.
#LiberaPay charges roughly the same fees, but for the whole bundle. Say I give $25 split among 25 creators each month.
#Patreon: I pay $34.48, creators get $23.75, or 69%.
#LiberaPay: I pay $26.09, creators get $25, or 96%.
It should be noted that "Eat The Rich" does not actually imply cannibalism. It's shorthand, a metaphor for redistributing their wealth to those in need, redistributing their power to the public, and redistributing their nutrients to the soil via composting and worm farms.
