I pulled a ton on my Triumph Bonneville yesterday.

I've gotten close a number of times, but never pushed it all the way. It's not something I'll likely feel the need to do again, but I've been wanting to do it at least once.

It felt good.

@PeteMoss Understood. When I worked in an office (I used to own a design firm) I'd often not leave until after 6 PM. I'd get home at close to the same time, just because of 5 PM traffic. So, figured, why try to get out "on time" just to sit in traffic? Well, happy Friday, regardless.

@zaitcev Same for a marriage license. Since when does the state control marriage? But, there you have it, somehow they own it now; who can and can not get married and EVEN what constitutes a marriage. Mankind, through the church was able to do this without the stat's hand for centuries. But, we gave it over to the state and now the state has ruined it, like everything else it touches.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp It is remarkable. The UK has quite a history with socialism, totalitarianism, and fascism (fabian society). I don't know what informs that, but they do seem to easily embrace authority.
