I only changed *one* thing by enabling the Better filter with this terminal command:

gsettings set org.gnome.Epiphany adblock-filters "['https://better.fyi/blockerList.txt']"

I love what this browser ships with out of the box

I've been weaning off other social media networks and am using the Fediverse again...

it occurs to me that some of the pernicious elements of social media (e.g. self-consciousness, jealousy, escapism) aren't fixed by federated distribution alone...

I think federation, however, will allow for experimentation and hopefully optimizing for user well-being (instead of advertising spend)

I discovered @pixelfed (photo sharing) and @itchio (game marketplace) today 👋

It feels like a new internet is emerging, I'm hopeful for both of these projects!

Still trying to figure out my role in the ongoing conversations here on Mastodon, bird site, and elsewhere.

Want to weigh in and support good people doing good things. Others are effective in policing and calling out the bad stuff.

I'm always humbled by others who know more than me. I know I make mistakes all the time. So, I often self-censor.

Better to be silent and assumed a fool than speak and prove it!
