“Be suspicious of everything” is an unfortunate personality trait some of us do pick up

Everyone’s relationship with you is about how you make them feel and what you do for them. And that’s why a depression is isolating. Unless you can somehow make it not about you...people will leave.

Silicon Valley thinks we are in a moment of “anti-tech sentiment”

Loooool no we just finally woke up the masses to the San Francisco business model. Notice that nobody’s mad at Intel! Nobody’s complaining about how VLC killed a woman testing some machinery. Nobody thinks propaganda in Mint Linux tainted a presidential election. No buddy that’s an anti-corruption sentiment you’re catching. You have a corrupted business model.

DropBox, besides neglecting to encrypt your files before storing them remotely, has had a history of malware behavior.

Their macOS client directly modified macOS's 'privacy database' (TCC.db) to bypass the user prompt for 'accessibility' rights – allowing them to interact with system UIs, other applications, and even intercept key events (i.e. keylogging).

Apple has since used SIP to block an application from modifying that file.

Rather than congratulate a person for selling their company, I will extend my condolences to the 95% of the staff, that just had their good job receive its death warrant.
