    His speech is growing nicely. For a while, I couldn't see any changes, but recently, he's having conversations.

    They have a wagon ride that takes you from the farm zone near the parking area to the play zone and from there to the field. Then the wagon brings you back to the farm zone.

    Today is pumpkin patch day. #GS3 (age 4.5) and #GS4 (age 2.5) are wearing identical outfits, have identical haircuts. #GS5 (age 1) has the same outfit, but longer hair.

    The older boys are trying choose a tiny pumpkin to put on the porch. My daughter in law usually picks a medium size pumpkin to turn into pie.

    This is a major event on the family calendar, but it seems early this year.

    It is #coin-laundry day. I think we're later than usual. The TV does not sound like "Friends" today.

    One of the families here is teaching their daughter (around eight years old, I think) to do her own laundry. She's trying to get the high school boy to help, but the mother told her "Your laundry, your responsibility".

    @clacke I haven't heard anything about limiting the availability this time, but one of the reasons that the CDC recommended _everyone_ take the updated versions is that medicare / medicaid / private insurance may decide not to cover "optional" vaccinations. That's effectively limiting it to people who have the means and enough desire to pay for it themselves.

    Though I've heard prices around $135/dose. Maybe most insurers will cover that, but I always end up paying for my own influenza vaccination (usually around $30-$35) and I could see it happening for coronavirus disease also.

    @clacke Most pharmacies have someone on staff that can inject you. I don't know what level of license that is, but they have it.

    @clacke If it takes a little while before power goes out and then delays power coming on for hours after the rain stops, it may be a roof leak dripping onto a vulnerable spot in the building's wiring.

    (One house where I lived had this problem. Years after I moved away, the landlord sold the house for a fraction of the going price, which makes me suspect they never repaired that and other issues.)

    #sonTwo bought me a subscription to mlb.tv for the regular season, but I have not watched a single game. Every time I want to, I get the regional blackout.

    That sort of makes mlb.tv useless. I don’t have cable and there’s no over the air broadcasters carrying MLB games here.
