    I appreciate that moon wants to preserve the fediverse. It is one of the reasons I felt more confident about him and rw taking over SLC/fzp. Someone needed to fund and keep us in good shape, and I am glad it was someone that wanted to preserve these instances and allow us to carry on as we were without trying to change us.Β

    @kaniini Yeah. I was looking at moon's instance and thinking it would be nice to know where 3 years ago it is at. I'd still like to see my first posts here. Make sense of the timing and be grounded in that regard. As always, thank you for answering my posts about pleroma.

It is quite the undertaking what moon is doing and fortunately old posts are still stored through moon's instances so I still have what I'd want to look back through. I really hope that is preserved for as long as possible. In time, I imagine it will be lost to time and the internet. It saddens me to think. But it has helped me to look back through posts so preserving it is not for nought.

    I figured we have a different outlook on this, and I don't expect you to share mine. Sounded like you needed a clean break. I prefer to be grounded in reality, and being able to make sense of my past plays into that. Fedi has played quite a role in that now. It is nice to have posts for this reason. I find it hard to delete my accounts, all that history...

    I don't think pleroma expands a post with the time, date and instance the post came from? I really like this feature on qvitter... Gives more context to when the post was made.

    @fl0wn @nepfag @moonman I don't think nuking is the answer. As you say, it would erase what came before and it is bad enough we've been losing old instances of GS as it is. I do appreciate the efforts moon has put in to migrating instead. Thank you, moon.
