git question: Is there a way to turn off the terminal "animations" using the escape sequences etc in the git command line program? They don't play well with emacs eshell.

I guess the real answer is to not use those command line programs and instead use the emacs alternatives like magit and so on? #emacs #git

In all these years as a programmer, I have never written Conway's Game of Life program, a rite of passage of sorts for programmers.

But I fixed it today. Wrote one in JavaScript because programming on browsers seem like the easiest way to make graphical programs today.

I am looking for a new job, remote (preferred) or in Bangalore, India. Most of my experience has been in System programming (embedded systems - video conferencing, encoding, audio algorithms, distributed systems - distributed db, storage etc), but I have a strong interest in Functional Programming and static typing and would like to find a job building systems with Haskell.
    Please ping me - ram@rkrishnan.org
