Greetings to all the new people! I have been here awhile but don’t have an #introductions post so: most of my #art these days is made with my sewing robot, a RPi-connected embroidery machine that I do unconventional things with, like make plushies and fabric #sculpture (with a #dragon bias). I post a lot (like, a LOT) about process and mistakes, including what I’m learning as I run my new Etsy shop. I live in South Jersey, just across the Delaware from #Philadelphia, am a mom, and I have #ADHD.

TIL that in the concept art for The White Dragon cover, THE DRAGON HAD EARS. (They have ears in the text.)

Now that I have a breeding pair, getting the standing plushies into the shop should go faster, right?

Woke up to steady rain and heavy overcast so no dragon photoshoot this morning. Instead I pulled out the ivory velvet and tested something completely different: a unicorn. Didn't stuff the lower legs or even fully stuff the body because this was just a pattern test to see how the head and backside shapes were working. Head needs tiny tweaks, li'l horsey butt is fine.

Now that it’s Father’s Day, I can post pictures of the snap tab I was making with that hologram vinyl: Clem the Grineer, from #Warframe.

Finished the sparkle dragon last night, took pictures in the morning light today.

He's just Monterey Mills cubby; somewhere I have some better-quality fur to make a "real" version out of but of course I'll never get around to that.

Those ears were so ridiculous. You had to go through normal doorways sideways.

When son was 3, we were at a fast food restaurant which had a safety cone in its lobby, with a flailing figure above wavy lines. We asked him what it meant. He pondered it, and concluded: "You can dance here if you want to, but it's slippery."
