So I typed out a letter to post to a friend. It included some peculiar glyphs from strange, untamed codepoints way, way out in the Unicode desert and as I was printing it I was like "Gosh, I really hope my friend's software has good Unicode support so's she can read this stuff.." - and then I realised that.. being on paper.. it would in fact look exactly the same to her.. because we're both running the exact same software.. in our *visual cortices*..

'Cos, y'know, when everybody first got cross with Microsoft and stuff, "M$" was basically the best we could do with ASCII, right? But now it is absolutely time we enlisted the full address space of Unicode in developing better online passive-aggressive typing habits.
