I did get the Windows version of Scratch installed and it's "sort of" running - there's an empty window open that doesn't seem to be loading beyond that.

Is this whole endeavor doomed due to antiquated hardware? Is WINE the issue? Should I try to figure out how to force an old, unsupported Linux version of Adobe AIR to run? Should I try putting on an even lighter distro, risking wading out of my depths?

Any advice is appreciated!

I want to get an old EeePC up and running with Scratch 2 Offline Editor so my little guy can tinker with sprites and programming. However: 1. It is very old and 2. It was not powerful when it was new. I put Linux Mint XFCE on because it's familiar to me, but it is seriously chugging. Then I found I can't install Adobe AIR so I am roundabout running it through WINE. 1/

This is my other cat Spunky. She sleeps like 21 hours a day, but in the other 3 she is a Silly Floof.

She does look like Spooky the Shoulder Cat. I adopted them both from the Humane Society, who told me they were found together, and are probably sisters from the same litter.
