@Verus Enh, it's all good. Short version: I grew up on the fringes of the third world, saw a lot of people die because of a lot of failed ideologies and idiotic tribalisms. Now various people gratuitously assume I'm either a frothing neo-fascist waiting to pull the levers on some kind of final solution, or alternatively some saviour of the true left (however that's defined this week). I'm neither.

@Verus Yeah, they tend to wind themselves in coils with their prejudices. I have some of the same issues, though for different reasons, which was one of the things that led to my being less sympathetic to the kneejerkers.
