Any #dualnationals here? When do you prefer expressing your citizenship of the nation in which you are not currently living?

@brandon I don't know. Most of my Cdn people stopped visiting about 10-15 years ago, when the passport requirement became law: my spouse and I can pass through either side without passports.

The collective Canadians' opinions was that of collective Americans, not as individuals.

I didn't yet try buying directly. Of course KHC is pricier in the States, so getting it at a discount was a big thrill.

SK, AB, and BC citizens' visits to the US have increased 6% since Trump became President. Largely, Americans have benign opinions about Canadians; sadly, this largely isn't reciprocal. Where I am at present, it is reciprocal: I lived 43 years within 100 miles of the US/Canadian border, on both sides, and there's no hostility or animosity where I live.
I buy from the grocers (south BC/north WA).

@brandon Kick Ass is my favourite, but I also like Smart Ass. I may try Three Sisters one of these days. That's where the coupons help.

@brandon Sledge Hammer's perfect arrest record (some of whom might actually be guilty) awards him the privilege of letting a TV reporter ride with him on his beat. A car chase leads to everyone but the reporter fleeing the unmarked police car just before it flies off a cliff. Reporter is alive but has two broken arms. His factual, honest report of his ride leads to half the force being laid off, including Sledge, who serves as a no-nonsense crossing guard.

My Generation Z son cannot understand why his old fogey parents revelled in watching "Sledge Hammer!" on the Decades network. A send-up of gun-loving (revolver on a wedding pillow kind of love) Death Wish/Dirty Harry "shoot first, ask questions later" tough characters of the 1970s & 1980s was lost on him.

My biggest yay of the day is finding a $7.00 coupon for a whole bean bag of Kicking Horse Coffee.
We now have a PO Box and are step by step acclimating. CBC's "The Debaters" episode today was of a topic of special interest to my family: Relations between Americans and Canadians.

My Prime Minister recorded a station identification spot for #Seattle radio station #KEXP. Because it's #CanadaDay, we got to hear our leader during the all-Canada rock midday programming.
