@gemlog No, you told me I sounded "normal", as in West Coast accent. I appreciated it. I didn't know my accent slid toward homeland until I was riding a bus and a woman said "I'm following her" (gestures to me) "she sounds like she knows where she's going."

@gemlog I know. I spent the first two weeks of July 2017 in Ottawa. I was wondering "how was it I was okay with this humidity as a tot, but now it's weighing me down? The only things that came back are my sense of direction, my French, and my accent!"

Today, inspired by a toot in my timeline, I adopt the supposition that if everyone is my teacher, then to everybody else I must be a teacher as well. I adjusted my comment composition with that in mind, going from Premise A to Conclusion in a straight line without missing switches or derailing and it's a positive, self-affirming feeling. I don't even need the ego gratification, the warm fuzzy of having a conversation without whataboutism, logical fallacies and name-calling is satisfying.

The kicker is the cat's breed originates from South East Asia, so he's supposed to be "oh thank Bastet! It's 35C outside. Rapture! Bliss! Even if it is 'a bit brisk'"

My cat's been irritatingly vocal about the heat and not being allowed out at night -- he vs. raccoons are like Franklin Pangborn vs. Jean Claude Van Damme -- but now that he knows about "the secret cool room with the daybed" he's hanging out with me silently for the first time in three weeks.

Imagine being so sensitive that the difference of 2 degrees Celsius in temperature alters your temperament.
