it's allright :) we will buy a new card tomorrow. but i guess shipping will take a couple of days. we tried putting another raid card in the server, one we can't use though, and it was recognized in uefi, so we think a new card of the right type flashed in the right way should work. i feel a little powerless, since so much is down to 3mp0, and he has a lot at work right now, so time and energy is limited.

i'll ask 3mp0 tonight! he's coming down from stockholm just to look at the hardware.

raid controller is probably toast. we've not given up, but expect this to take a while. sorry!

sorry about the extended downtime. we're still struggling to get the server working. i wen't out to the servers on my bike earlier today and pulled the plugs to reset stuff and also with a freebsd installation memstick. 3mp0 is trying to get set things up remotely now, but now we lost contact with the raid controller all of the sudden. so... we're working on it, but it may take some more time. /@hannes2peer http://somsants.net/attachment/102566
