@ryan honestly % should become a suffix for double values that means "divide by 100" for this reason; it's a poor stand-in for modulo and has a much more useful literal meaning

@ryan unit "percentages" are confusing to newbies and are only better mathmatically

in any case, i use unit "percentages", but I always annotate them "@Range(from=0, to=1)" (well, a proxy annotation @UnitValue, but)
