Bombay Sapphire, with fresh squeezed grapefruit from my garden and a couple of random mandarins thrown in for colour. Could use a tiny dash of bitters I think, but I'm not getting up and going back inside. #GinAndJuice
@gemlog@koosli Mobilizon and GetTogether have roughly the same plans. I'll be testing both over the next few months, but GetTogether seems to have a more stable working system right now.
Melbourne masto shit santa yesses and maybes: please join this group where we can post event details once figured out what will suit people: https://deffo.com.au/melbourne-fedi-friends/
If you'd rather not join the Deffo group, no worries just ping me instead. I just like the page because it makes things feel more open and not cliquey. Also don't feel obliged to use your IRL name.
Mad props to @mike because Deffo is his excellently-named thing!
Do you live in #Melbourne and want to stress test #Deffo, generate bugs in @GetTogetherComm software and spend long summer days in beer gardens or parks or indeed do anything with other Fediverse friends "IRL" as the kids say?
@koosli if you drunkenly decide you need to rename the group or replace the photo that looks like the result of someone searching a stock photography site for "friendship" at 11pm, go nuts.
@koosli you're now group admin, so you can boot people out or something if you decide to go mad with power.
I've made myself just a normal member, partly because I just want to see what the restrictions are like. I can fix weird stuff with a site admin account if I need anyway.
In the 2010s people decided they didn't like writing blogs and instead preferred to write "tweetstorms," which is like a blog except randos can start replying to you after you're only halfway done, and you can get realtime feedback on whether the mob likes or dislikes every single sentence in your post. People vastly preferred this new system
@thegibson honestly you're not missing a lot. Feels like Eldritch is kinda phoning it in, and he might as well have at points when he seemed to go completely off mic.
Best part of this show and the last one was catching up with fellow old goths who I haven't seen in forever. Worth it for that!
