Dream journal: summer, a bunch of us preparing to explore some wooded area by night, maybe had to take a boat to get there? New matching clothes for the trip. Cats at someone's house. Crossing railroad tracks. So many spiders.

one last thought: as a friend and i were discussing tonight, tonight's protest happening, so many major organizations and institutions condemning transmisogyny, this wouldn't have happened 10 years ago or even 5 years ago. so we got that going for us, anyway

anyway kind of forgot where i was going with this. i really appreciate exercising these really fucking basic freedoms which were only enshrined in federal law a few years ago, and i hope you do too

"ACKSHUALLY", but "historically": it is only within the past, say, 40 years or so that sex/gender, sexual orientation, and gender expression have been separated into distinct categories, and that's within a particular white western medicalized/pathologized context
