This is a nice explanation of the State Monad https://wiki.haskell.org/State_Monad #Haskell I've basically cut and paste the example more than once before to solve problems.

I've just done (part of) Advent of Code 2018 q9 in #Haskell. My first attempt, I thought was elegant and readable, but consumed all RAM in the universe. My second attempt, was more nuanced, throwing away all the things the solution did not really need, and this at least completed, however it takes 11 min to run.

The second part of the question expands the problem size by a factor of 100.

Need to think about this again!

managed to be late to work today. Also.. didn't really have such a good weekend. It was a long weekend, because I had a few days off work, but I didn't do anything much. So feels like a bit of a waste now.

would like to see, Sep VanMarcke win, but he had no form at #RVV last week. Luke Rowe would be great to see too, but again ... didn't show at #RVV... so... How about an outside chance on Alexander Kristoff from a 10 man sprint in the velodrome?

Paris - Roubaix .. The hell of the north is tomorrow. And the field sees wide open! No idea who can take it. None of the current top riders seems to have huge form over the others.
