@profanessbm well, if you're considering i have the 8gb/256gb model of sp2. anything with less ram/storage is decidedly low-end. this just barely scrapes by.

@profanessbm the cpus are low-end but the storage is high-end and the ram is mid-tier. so it's kinda all over the place

it's kinda weird to me that my surface pro 2 operates so much more slowly than my desktop pc for daily tasks when it's not exactly a low-end device even if it's old.

@masklayer ah yeah that's perfect then. more than enough wiggle room.

@masklayer cpu upgrade is not worth the money, ram could be higher but 8gb will do you for now unless you're doing anything with large files like video editing or 3d modeling. my main desktop does alright with 8gb but i do regularly hit minor slowdowns, not fatal though.

@saxnot i would like to note that i don't think any other anarchist is not an anarchist unless their beliefs are conflicting (ancaps basically) but i prefer to signal that i am ancom and seek out those who do the same because it might be easier for us to communicate and share ideas than with others

i fail to see how telling people not to denote other ideologies they're interested in/lean toward, is doing anything but breaking up anarchists further, as you have accused me of doing.

@thunder @saxnot i like to add the communist part as finding decent people seems easier when looking for ancoms than straight out anarchists.

there are a lot of better people that just call themselves anarchists, but also a lot of worse people (ancaps, anprims, bigots who think other axes of oppression don't matter, etc) basically a lot of people looking to appropriate the term

ancom/anarcho-communist is harder to appropriate.

@saxnot nope! anarchy is a just a lack of hierarchy, communism is a "stateless, classless, moneyless" society. they overlap quite a bit.

socialist states in recent history have mostly involved hierarchy, but it is not a definite part of socialism nor the end goal of communism.

having immense trouble sleeping once again. really kind of upset. had a bad dream the other day about something that was already bugging me and now it's all on the top of my mind and taking over my thoughts
