"Why should you care how someone behaves as long as they can write good code?"
We live in a time when finding someone who can write good code is EASY. We want someone who can write good code AND ALSO cares about the people around them.
sad and worried
@blackle (cw pda)
@maplebot17 oh, big mood
*finally gets a joke someone told her yesterday and LAUGHS*
who woulda thought, turns out you don't *actually* own what's in other people's servers
microsoft doesn't actually own github yet. whatever mundane inconvenient things happen to your repos this week isn't because microsoft decided to personally target you as step one of their multi-billion-dollar business deal
@TheShyIon she iiiisssss

here's my fork of the library, updated for python 3:
https://github.com/Lana-chan/py-thermal-printer
amazon's customer answers are a treasure
for one i already had to go through lengths to update the printer library from python2 to python3...
it's fully functional now, but
it could be better
and my way of making things better is just. scrap it and do it again from scratch
reading this printer's manual i think there are settings that can be tweaked for it to look better but i'm using a python library that kinda makes me just
write my own library from scratch
it's eeehhhh
thermal printer selfie
