Hello! A lot of you here at the Mastosphere know me as Riley. This was an identity I created to explore identity. In keeping with the monomyth, I have returned home changed.
So I'm back to this name, which is my legal name, just in time for a hurricane by the same name to wallop the gulf and soak Georgia.
I released Goodbye almost a year ago. I went from barely $5 a month on Patreon to almost $40/month. It may sound small, but that's a lot of breathing room where before I had no extra money. https://digitalscofflaw.bandcamp.com/album/goodbye
It’s not the people or places you miss, but the way they made you feel. You can’t—shouldn’t—take it all with you, but you can appreciate the way they changed you, how they altered your course.
I wrote "I'll Be Okay" coming off a pretty bad headspace adventure. I knew I'd be okay, but I didn't feel it, and it's reflected in how discordant a lot of the beats are.
"Feels Like Home" started as an attempt to make the most cliche canyon.mid-ass piano solo and it actually sounded pretty good.
The whole album is basically the story of my life as a loop of highs and lows I've started to break out of with better self-knowledge, and work on living outside my head more.

I want to get Komplete 12. $600 is a lot of money, but that's a _lot_ of sounds to play with. Assuming my Patreon is stable by then, I can afford it in about a year. Naturally, I won't spend $600 on music if I can't at least meet a Patreon goal or two...
