well, there are still people who still use hypercard, either in a physical old mac or via mac emulators. they use hypercard to get useful work done. including bill atkinson. there are many imitators and clones, but somehow none come close to the approachability and and functionality tradoffs of the original. there are practical benefits to software that never changes.

@yam655 I'm also super interested in the smaller pieces that would have been the plastic figures, those are the ones on the white background.
The copyright on these images expired, the copyright on the characters expired, and there are no trademarks on the characters, so having open source/CC licensed versions of these files would be really really neat.
If I buy the one that's currently at auction it will be in order to get better scans to release widely.

It came in an envelope that was 9.5x12.5", and the spaceship is supposed to be 10.5" long, so it's roughly on an 8.5x11 piece of paper.
So we can imagine that the full piece of paper was 22x18, I think?

That's part of the problem. I think the original was double ledger sized.

So I'm looking in to this Space Patrol Lunar Fleet Base which was a mostly paper premium that was offered during the second season.
I'm not sure what episode this was first offered on (because I haven't digitized everything in my collection yet, and also there are literally hundred of episodes that are lost) but I know the last offer date was Episode 21, which aired on the 24th of May, 1952.
(This run of episodes is fascinating, I'll talk about them later.)

Hey! I did a #gameboy pocket mod a few years ago, and added a backlight.
I'd like to make a few more of these modifications as holiday gifts, if I can find cheap kits.

But, I know it's likely gong to be expensive, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Someone has a Space Patrol Lunar Fleet Base on ebay in a pretty mediocre, under SEO'd listing.
It has just under 6 days left, and is already sitting on three bids.
The last time I saw one sell, it went for over $1k.
This one appears to be from a private collection that was purchased out of a storage locker, and it's listed along side several dozen other radio and TV premiums.
I am watching it closely. I doubt it'll be anywhere near my price range by day 6.
