Surprising to no one, Laravel's Eloquent ORM is awful at batch operations with tens thousands of entities

datatable.directory is now much faster at inserting tabular data, and also should handle bigger datasets. And the New Table page has a CSV import form 👌
pls report any bugs, cause the code changes needed for the faster insert speed are somewhat ... experimental

so uh I've learned why slashes are sometimes escaped in JSON

fixed some bugs (like e.g. very poor performance when viewing some tables). Query went from 2 seconds to 30 milliseconds, after adding a CAST(). (what?) but cool
