*Brazil’s Military Is Put in Charge of Security in Rio de Janeiro*
"It is the first federal intervention in a state since #Brazil’s return to democracy in the 1980s, and it is seen by some as a bid by the beleagured president, Michel Temer, to improve his favorability ratings rather than as a measure to tackle crime."
Someone did put all three parts of the suburb documentary about #anarchism *No Gods No Masters* on YouTube. And now SubMedia also linked/embedded them on their site. All great of course, but I'm afraid they won't stay there to long.
*Facebook ordered to stop collecting user data by Belgian court*
"… #Facebook had broken privacy laws by tracking people on third-party sites in the latest salvo in a long-running battle between the Belgian commission for the protection of privacy (CPP) and the social network. […] Facebook has also been ordered to delete all data it had gathered illegally on Belgian citizens, including people who were not users of the social network."
It's about health insurance companies suing people with debt at a so called e-court, instead of a normal court. An algorithm (yes you read it correctly) decides if someone is guilty or not! They even call it the 'robot judge'. #UNBELIEVABLE!
ROAR: **La ZAD scores major victory: airport plans are cancelled!**
"As of yesterday, the airport project at Notre-Dame-des-Landes is buried forever, by the courage, love and determination of hundreds of occupants, thousands of allies and millions of sympathizers."
The paramount question of the day is not political, is not religious, but is economic. The crying-out demand of today is for a circle of principles that shall forever make it impossible for one man to control another by controlling the means of his existence. -- Voltairine de Cleyre
