    Personal hypothesis: The people who try different characters/paths in RPGs are the same publicly claiming to be apolitical.

    I am pretty sure that commercial charging stations are subsidized or running at a loss to favor electric car adoption. So it wouldn’t be meaningful.

    I would be curious to compare the environmental cost of $22,000 of gas compared to $22,000 of battery, not sure gas would lose. We just invented a worse way to tackle climate change as an excuse to keep driving cars exactly as much.

    A Tesla doing just as good as a gas-powered car in general maintenance already makes them a resounding failure, environmentally-wise. And that’s before factoring in the original purchase price that’s a markup for comparably sized cars.

    My point sharing this is that electric cars, and certainly not Teslas, will not save us from environmental disaster. It’s just an expensive toy for rich people, nothing more.

    #MiniReview Life Is Hard (2021) is a side-scrolling survival city builder game that kicked my ass for all the wrong reasons. A slew of bugs that escaped the Early Access phase, abysmal documentation about in-game concepts and ultimately limited choices made it hard to like.

    It's more insidious than this. They aren't selling these just to racists and Nazis, they're trying to sell these symbols to what they call "normies" in order to make them more socially acceptable. All the while claiming plausible deniability when being called out on it.

    At least in New York I don’t believe it’s true. Speculators, hedge funds and would-be rentiers are fighting over collecting New-Yorkers’ rent, which has made buying even more expensive than the rents themselves, while the rest of the cost of living hasn’t increased that much.

    I'm a software developer and I begrudgingly agree with this because it would mean a pretty big cut in my salary as there is no way teachers would be paid more than I am right now.
