Many of WinZip's most used features are now native in Windows Explorer, so unless your company specifically needs a certain feature, buying a WinZip license makes no sense.

Also, in some organizations, 7zip is not allowed because the author is Russian.

@sampo I’m quite unhappy with your doctors. I really wish they would make more of an effort to find out what is happening to you, so they can give you some answers about possible treatments or lack thereof.

@clacke Is the drive and the USB hub powered externally? Most of the time, drive not showing up is that one of the two needs an external power source.

That's a horrific idea. It is unlikely that students are "engaged" or even paying attention most of the time. School works because no one is measuring that defocused time.

@moonman If a response is properly managed, afterward, some will decide it wasn't the crisis everyone made it out to be. This happened in 2010 after the 2009 H1N1 "Swine Flu" epidemic. It killed lots of 15-30 year olds, but the overall death toll was lower than expected.

82,119 people whose lives have ended because of #COVID19 would probably disagree. Considering that some of the poorest countries in the world are just getting started, we've got no clue how many this will kill.

Honestly, I think that posting or boosting block recommendations just makes the Fediverse a worse place for all of us. Let users decide for themselves whom to block, or in rare cases, let the admin (dentmaster, tootmaster, pleromaster, etc) decide for that instance. I keep seeing these poorly researched blockrec threads, where it turns out that no one told the admin or the responsible instance about some issue.

@corbin I was lucky enough to find a 4 pack of half rolls last week. Basically 2 regular rolls.

@dwaltiz In some states ( Yay, #California! ), they still must be paid at least minwage, since tips are optional.
