@intelminer (A/V)DSL and all its shitty little quirks are an absolute joke. They use so many dirty little tricks to cut corners and save money, it makes their network unmaintainable. So they spend more money coming up with new dirty hacks, rather than fixing the root cause of the problem

@intelminer fiber optic?! Nah just push 76 megabit down a single twisted pair, then leave them in a huge mess at a green cabinet on the side of the road. Cabinet servers 10,000 residents each - usually gets hammered at 6pm and you get 6 meg down. Cabinet is connected via a single fiber channel to an exchange, which goes somewhere to down in London or M247 in Manchester
