@kaniini You don't need a static module to archive pleroma. Google can handle most js frameworks now a days! You should pre-render for Indieweb and SEO though.

It's important to note that Pixelfed is focused on media sharing only. I can't see Matrix/Zot/Email support in the horizon as they do not align with the goals of the project.

Loops is almost ready! 🚀

@geotechland Yes, Loops will be the only discover page accessible to guests. The public timeline will be be accessible to guests in the near future!

@geotechland Pixelfed already supports looped videos, the only reason it's not enabled is because there are ffmpeg bugs in the thumbnail logic.

Instagram added looping videos in 2013 as a response to Vine.

MicroUI belongs to pleroma now, where they support a lot more than Pixelfed including text-only posts.

There are 3 important components to Loops:

1) Capture & Composing

2) Transcoding & Fan-out

3) Loops UI/Pages

I'm almost done 2 & 3 and hope to ship Loops in beta very soon!
