...So whats up with python 3? It was released more than a decade ago, but it seems like people are really dragging their feet about upgrading. Is there some kind of serious problem with it? :/

Not so far as I can tell. I'm looking at pyknow, and that's the closest I've found. -_-

Maybe it's just that nobody uses them, so they don't have the kind of widespread support most popular languages have? I dunno. :/

...Anyone here familiar with expert systems? I know they're not super useful, but I find them really cool. I kinda feel like every implementation I've found is rather painfully antiquated, though?

Like, they lack a lot of the usability improvements we've made to code in the last couple decades? I dunno, I'm not sure how to explain it. I'm looking at pyknow right now, and it's alright, but even it feels kinda awkward to use. :/

Hmm. Well, I updated the Agora demo site. And discovered that account verification is bugged, and not working. So, you can look, but you can't actually make an account or post anything. Still, you can see what the update looks like. :/

@syndikalista @anarchiv Well, maybe. I think it fundamentally hinges on our societies ability to make good decisions, which is a difficult thing to improve. I think better forms of mass communication are key, and better mass education. It's why I'm working on Agora, for example. Though we'll see if it works out. :/

Oh huh! I had an adventure today. My friend was driving me home from work when we had to break sharply for a red light - and all the wet, slushy snow on the roof of the car slid down and covered up the windshield. So I jumped out in the middle of the road and scraped it off. Good times. XD

@hypolite I think you overestimate our ability to catch that kind of thing. But, robot killbots are far from the worst thing an A.I. could do. I'd be more worried about political manipulation. It probably wouldn't be that hard for the machine to screw with our governments to our detriment.

As for more current threats, yeah I agree that the world has plenty of those. They're nothing to laugh at either. -_-
